The Geological Map of Macau, on a scale of 1:5,000, was published in 1992 by the Geological Services of Portugal and includes the sheets of Macau, Taipa and Coloane, where the following lithostratigraphic groups can be distinguished: Paleozoic metasediments, granitic and phyllonian rocks and superficial deposits.
